Following on from the news it would release the original three Dragon Quest games on the Switch, Square Enix has now announced Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland Retro is coming to the Switch eShop next week in Japan. This is the very first entry in the spin-off series and was compared to the Pokémon games at the time, due to gameplay similarities.
The newest version is a port of the original 1998 Game Boy Color title (also known as Dragon Quest Warriors outside of this region) and will arrive on Switch on 17th September for 1,500 yen. The Switch iteration will allow users to swap between color and monochrome graphics, and change background wallpapers.
